Project Health CV's annual fundraising gala promises an evening of inspiration, community, and celebration with a mission to make a difference in the health care system of Cape Verde.



This year, Project Health CV’s annual Gala is all about the Kids of PHCV!! Mark your calendars for a night to remember on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the prestigious University of Massachusetts Club in Boston. 

Our team has been serving the population in Cape Verde since 2009, providing medical and specialized surgical services that may otherwise be unavailable to CV’s underserved residents. As we’ve grown, many of our founding leaders have also expanded their families - or, in many cases, our children grew alongside Project Health’s work in Cape Verde. That’s why this year’s Gala is dedicated to the stories, experiences, and testimonies of our children. These young voices will headline the evening, running everything from the auction to the event announcements. And even more importantly, our children will share their perspective: explaining the impact that just being around Project Health’s work has made on their lives, and their points of view. 

Many of our children are now preparing to head off to college (or are already there), and it has been the honor and privilege of our lives to see their passion for serving, supporting, and advocating for those who have been failed by national health systems. We know, because our children have told us, that Project Health CV’s story has made an indelible change to the story of their own lives, and we hope that you’ll join us on September 27th to hear their stories for yourself!

Our Mission and What Your Ticket Purchase Supports:

Since its inception in 2009, Project Health CV (PHCV) has been dedicated to providing critical health resources to Cabo Verde. Through technology transfer, clinical and surgical interventions, culturally tailored care, and education, PHCV has made significant strides in improving health outcomes.

To date, we've mobilized over 50 medical professional volunteers across 20 multidisciplinary teams to deliver essential care to the Cape Verde Islands.
